RPM Palm Springs Training Camp

RED PERFORMANCE MULTISPORT PRESEASON TRAINING CAMP

R.P.M. will be holding it’s preseason training camp this year January 15th-19th 2015 in beautiful Palm Springs, California.  Athletes attending the camp will have the opportunity to spend 5 days swimming, biking, and running under the guidance of the experienced R.P.M. coaches in an environment that will prepare the athlete for the upcoming season.  The camp will not only consist of training, but also nightly lectures, athlete Q and A’s, bike maintenance clinics, strength sessions, wetsuit, wheel, shoe, nutrition demos, and much more.  Housing will be available through the entirety of the camp at an additional cost with breakfast and dinner included in the price of the housing.  Some highlights R.P.M.’s Preseason Camp will include are:

  • 3 coached swim workouts in a 50 meter outdoor pool
  • One on One swim coaching with a video breakdown of each swimmer
  • Some of the best cycling in the Southwest with 4 coached cycling sessions each session focusing on a ifferent aspect of cycling.
  • Run workouts focused on improving the speed and efficiency of each individual runner
  • Nightly lectures on topics ranging from nutrition, strength, racing, training, bike maintenance etc.
  • Wetsuit, Shoe, Wheel, and Bike demos from various companies in each category
  • Camp housing in Desert Motif type estates shared by athletes and coaches alike
  • Food prepared to aid the athlete in performance and recovery

  • 5pm: Arrive
  • 6pm: Easy Shake Out Run
  • 7pm: Camp Welcome Talk/Dinner

 Friday 1/16

  • 8-10am: Swim
  • 11-3pm: Bike
  • 3-4pm:Run
  • 5-6:00-pm: Strength
  • 7pm- Dinner/Swim Technique Lecture

 Saturday 1/17

  • 6-7:30am: Zombie Run
  • 8-10am:Swim
  • 12-4pm:Hillclimb Ride
  • 4:30-5:30pm: Strength
  • 6pm: Dinner/Nutrition Lecture

 Sunday 1/18

  • 8-10am:Swim
  • 11-3pm:Bike/Group Ride
  • 3:30-5pm:Run
  • 6pm: Dinner/Race Pacing Lecture

Monday 1/19

  • 8-10am: 40k time trial
  • 11-1pm trail run
  • 2pm:Closing Remarks/Camp Conclusion
